Mission

My philosophy for the science classroom is to clearly define all objectives, include technology, and as many hands-on laboratory activities as possible for modern learners! Throughout the year, you will work with other students in group projects, design and carry out many lab experiments, move a lot during kinesthetic learning, and, with hope, begin to love and enjoy the world of science!

Tutorials

If you ever have questions, please visit tutorials to get extra help.  Tutorial days include Tuesday & Thursday after school from 4:00 to 4:30 or by appointment.  Note that during soccer season from November to April tutorials can only occur in the mornings before school from 7:45 to 8:15.

Ms. Harrington's Background

Hello and welcome to the new school year at Reagan High School! I am Ms. Harrington, your science teacher. I will be teaching general biology, ESL biology, and aquatic science this year at Reagan.  I will also be assisting Coach Gibson again with our Lady Bulldog soccer program. I am excited about the upcoming year.

I am currently enrolled in a graduate program for a Master's of Education at the University of Houston - Downtown.  This is my fifth year of teaching. My first two years I taught history and science to 8th graders in central Texas just north of Austin. I moved to Houston in the summer of 2006 where I taught biology and aquatic science at Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, Texas.

I was a Fund for Teachers grant recipient in 2007 and spent two months in Nepal volunteering in three schools and working with an orphanage. It was a life changing experience.

Last year was my first year at Reagan.  I specifically sought a job with HISD and I thoroughly enjoy working with the students and faculty at Reagan High School!
